⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 3️⃣5️⃣ DAYS

That’s right, we are just 3️⃣5️⃣ days away from kickoff of the 2025 season!

Part of one of the most electric running back rooms in the country is #3️⃣5️⃣ Dawson Pendergrass.

After a stellar freshman campaign, Pendergrass joined forces with stud freshman Bryson Washington to form one of the most potent running back duos last fall.

The duo made Baylor one of only three power-4 schools in the regular season with a 1,000-yard and 600-yard rusher.

In his two seasons in Waco, Pendergrass has 200 carries for 1,009 yards, while also hauling in 37 catches for 302 yards through the air.

🔼 Going For Gold. After being down near the entirety of the semifinal matchup against Team Lithuania, Team USA, represented by Baylor men's basketball, found a way with grit and determination to advance to the championship game of the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games on Thursday, coming from behind to win 72-64.

The fourth quarter played a crucial turning point for Team USA, as America outscored Lithuania 22-7 in the final 10 minutes at Grugahalle. Big buckets from JJ White, who went three-for-six from behind the arc, and Dan Skillings Jr., who led the team with a double-double of 17 points and 13 clutch boards, were the keys to success for USA to put on an 18-2 run to take the lead and advance themselves to play for gold.

Team USA (5-0) will turn its focus on Team Brazil (5-0) in the battle for a gold medal on Saturday, July 26th, at 8 p.m. local time (1 p.m. CT).

The award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year.

In the 2024-25 academic year, BU posted a 3.50 cumulative GPA as a team, which included a record-setting 3.52 fall GPA and a 3.38 GPA in the spring. Over 60% of the roster finished the season as an Academic Champion, rewarding student-athletes who logged a 3.50 GPA or above, a personal-best GPA or graduated.

🔼 On The Move. A former Bear is on the move.

After a career year last season, former BU standout Jared Butler is headed to the desert after signing a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.

Butler is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he played in a career-high 60 games for the Wizards and 76ers, averaging a career-best 9.0 points per game, while dishing out 3.7 assists and grabbing 1.8 rebounds per night.
