🏀 NBA DRAFT RECAP

Baylor Men's Basketball Head Coach Scott Drew joins Baylor+ to reflect on his NBA Draft experience and the excitement of watching Cameron Carr hear his name called. Drew shares his thoughts on Carr’s journey to the NBA, what makes him such a valuable prospect, and why his athleticism, versatility, and work ethic will make him a tremendous asset at the next level. He also discusses Baylor’s continued success in developing NBA talent and what Carr’s achievement means for the program.

🔼  The New Crew. Baylor football’s radio broadcast crew has been finalized! The Baylor Sports Media Network has added Geff Gandy as the in-booth color commentator and Bryson Jackson as the sideline analyst. John Morris returns for his 32nd season as the signature voice of Baylor Athletics.

🔼  Preseason Praise. Baylor punter Palmer Williams is bringing in preseason honors! He was named a First-Team Preseason All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. He was also named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team by Big 12 media members. Last season, he was a Ray Guy Award finalist after helping the Bears lead the nation in net punting.

🔼 Big Stage. Baylor baseball’s Tyce Armstrong has been nominated for a 2026 ESPY Award! His three-grand slam, 12-RBI performance against New Mexico State has been nominated in the category of Best Single-Game Performance. His performance is up against Bam Adebayo, Hannah Hidalgo, and Shohei Ohtani. The 2026 ESPY’s will be broadcast live on ABC at 7 p.m. on July 15.

🔼 Coming Home. Baylor softball announced the addition of former Baylor standout Presleigh Pilon as the Director of Player Development! She will officially join the Bears in August after her pro season with the KC Diamonds of the Professional Softball League.
