📈 STOCK UP

🔼 All Square. Baylor soccer held strong to earn its second-straight draw to open the season, playing Denver to a 0-0 final score. The Bears placed 10 shots on goal and 10 corner kicks. Goalkeeper Azul Alvarez recorded two saves for her 10th career shutout. Baylor will play Montana on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

🔼 Eyes Peeled. Baylor defensive lineman Samu Taumanupepe has been named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award Preseason Watch List! The award honors the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry who exemplifies exceptional ability and integrity both on and off the field.

🔼 Memories That Made Us. For Kevin Goll, talking about Baylor sports brought comfort in a time of need as he was at his fathers hospital bedside. His conversations with his father always circled back to Baylor football coming up or what the new men’s basketball roster looked like. While going through old photos, he noticed that many of them were at Baylor athletic events. Baylor Athletics brought joy in times where joy was difficult to find. His father passed away on July 24 after battling cancer. Goll leaves the readers with this:
“Take a look at the schedule and pick out one or two games that make sense for you to meet up with your family in Waco. Call your kids or your parents and get them on board. Have a meal together before and after. Stay the night. Get after those memories. Trust me, you do not want to rush even a single moment. As I know now, they will pass quickly enough on their own without you hurrying them.
