⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 2️⃣3️⃣ DAYS

That’s right, we are 2️⃣3️⃣ days from kick off!

Former Baylor offensive lineman Danny Watkins was drafted 2️⃣3️⃣rd overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2011 NFL Draft. He transferred to Baylor from Butte College, where he played football for the first time in his life. Despite being drafted to the Canadian Football League, he played out his final season at Baylor in 2010.

🤝 MEET THE BEARS

Baylor football will host the 2025 version of Meet the Bears presented by Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center at the Allison Indoor Practice Facility on Saturday, Aug. 16. The event is free to the public and will begin at 1 p.m.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Walk It Out. Running back Bryson Washington has been named to the Doak Walker Award preseason watch list! The award is presented to the nation’s most outstanding college running back. Washington earned Freshman All-America status last season after shattering the program’s rushing record.

🔼 Big Deal. Soccer’s Tyler Isgrig was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 soccer team! She’s a senior who started in all 21 games last season, leading the team with seven goals and eight assists.

🔼 Bears In The Books. A total of 127 Baylor student-athletes earned Academic All-Big 12 Spring and Rookie honors for the 2024-25 academic year! Baylor was represented by 89 Bears on the Spring Academic Team and 38 freshman Bears.

🔼  Cub Club. The Baylor Cub Club presented by Green Eye Associates, the official kids club of Baylor Athletics, is back! The club is open to ages 0-12 and will give Cubs exclusive gear and memorabilia, unforgettable member-only events, and the opportunity to attend games and cheer on the Bears throughout the season.
