🔼 Three Takeaways. Baylor Director of Sports Journalism Jerry Hill gives his three takeaway’s from this week’s press conference with Dave Aranda:
Winning in the ‘Call Room’ - Former Baylor track All-American and Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson spoke with the Baylor football team recently about how races are typically won or lost while waiting in the call room before the event. Coach Aranda related it to a football pregame and meeting random events and setbacks the way they need to.
Offensive line is ‘most improved’ - The offensive line has been the most improved position group according to Coach Aranda, who said in the spring that they had a fair amount to prove.
DJ has been in the bright lights - Quarterback DJ Lagway has been in some bright lights, making 19 starts in two seasons at Florida. He has picked up wins against ranked LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas teams.
🔼 Plan Accordingly. Baylor volleyball announced its 2026 promotions schedule, featuring a full slate of themed nights, giveaways, and more! The Bears will host their home opener tomorrow against North Texas for Opening Night.
