📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Trailblazer. Former Bear Samantha Schaefer will represent Baylor equestrian when she’s inducted into the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame this November. After overcoming eligibility issues, she became a three-time NCEA All-American. She was instrumental in Baylor’s 2012 Hunt Seat national championship victory and was inducted into the inaugural NCEA Hall of Fame. After graduating, Schaefer turned professional and now trains riders at her family’s farm.

🔼 Last Second Leverage. Arizona State kicked a 43-yard walk-off field goal as time expired to defeat Baylor 27-24 on Saturday night. Sawyer Robertson threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns, while Bryson Washington rushed for more than 100 yards for the third-straight game. Michael Trigg hauled in two touchdowns, finishing the night with 71 receiving yards. The Sun Devils turned three Baylor turnovers into field goals, changing the game.

🏈 Recap

🔼 Fell Short. Baylor soccer suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Texas Tech 1-0. The Red Raiders scored off a penalty kick in the 72nd minute. Azul Alvarez recorded six saves in the loss. The Bears will play at Kansas on Thursday.

🔼  Successful Showcase. Baylor equestrian hosted its annual Green and Gold Scrimmage, with Team Green defeating Team Gold 10-7. The scrimmage served as a baseline for areas of improvement before the regular season opener against Georgia on Oct. 3rd.
