some big upcoming conference matches for Baylor soccer and volleyball.

🔼 Bear Battle. Anytime you’re a part of history, it’s memorable.

The Baylor women’s basketball program have that opportunity this upcoming 2024-25 season as it was announced on Tuesday that the Bears will take on UCLA in the inaugural Coretta Scott King Classic.

Airing nationally on FOX and played at at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., the games will take place at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. CT on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
 
The Coretta Scott King Classic was formed to honor the legacy of Mrs. King and celebrate female empowerment in sports. This is the first time the names of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King have been licensed for a sporting event. 

🔼 Back At It. No better place to kick off Big 12 play than the Ferrell Center!

That’s what the 19th-ranked Bears are set to do TONIGHT when the unbeaten Wildcats of Arizona visit Waco for the conference opener for both sides.

The Big 12 newcomer is 11-0 this season and looking to announce their presence in the conference, while the Bears are 8-3 and coming off an impressive 3-1 victory over Hawaii this past weekend.

🏈 OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS

This past weekend, the Bears suffered a heartbreaking OT loss to Colorado.

This weekend, an opponent that Baylor took into double OT last season visits Waco as the #22 BYU Cougars are set for an 11 a.m. showdown at McLane.

2021 was the last time a ranked BYU squad came to Waco and that resulted in a thrilling 38-24 Baylor victory.
