🔼 Defense Delivers. Baylor football opened Big 12 play with a 23-13 win over Colorado. The defense and special teams set the tone, forcing a fumble and holding the Buffs to 12 drives without points. Jayden McGowan returned seven punts for 130 yards, while Rhett Armstrong made a McLane Stadium record-tying 54-yard kick. DJ Lagway threw for a pair of touchdowns and 221 yards.

🔼 Ticket Punched. Baylor men’s tennis’ Connor Van Schalkwyk qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship with a deep run through the consolation draw at the ITA All-American Championships. He’ll compete at the championships later this fall in Athens, Georgia.

🔼 Another Won. No. 11 Baylor soccer downed Cincinnati 2-1 yesterday behind goals from Noelle Sather and Lauren Omholt. The Bears are now unbeaten in their last eight games. They’ll host Kansas on Friday.
