🔼  Like Mike. Baylor standout Michael Trigg was named National Tight End of the Week by the John Mackey Award. He had a career-high seven catches and 99 yards, plus a touchdown on Friday.

🔼 Three Takeaways. Jerry Hill gave his three takeaways from Coach Dave Aranda’s Monday press conference!

1. Playing Close to Home: With conference opponents in three different time zones, it’s good to play nearby. SMU’s campus is roughly 100 miles north of Baylor.

2. Filling in For Jackie: The Bears defense suffered the most when defensive end Jackie Marshall left Friday’s game with a high-ankle sprain. Coach Aranda said, “We’re going to have to be creative, I feel.”

3. ‘Needs to Top it Off’: The head coach said this about cornerback Tevin Williams III, “He’s a guy that all through the mechanics - the initial start, the release, the stem, the run - he’s where he needs to be. He needs to be able to top it off and make the play at the top and come down with the ball.”

🔺 Schedule Complete. Baylor football complete its non-conference schedule for the next two years with the addition of hosting Incarnate Word to open the 2027 season. In 2026, Baylor will once again play 11 power-4 conference opponents with Auburn and SMU back on the schedule.

🔼 Hess Yeah. Baylor soccer’s Olivia Hess has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week! She scored the game-winner to beat then-No. 17 Mississippi State last week.

The Bears will host former Big 12 foe Texas tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. It’s a green out, so wear green and student’s will receive free t-shirts!

🔼 Neon Night. Baylor volleyball will host its home opener tonight! They’ll host Northwestern at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. It’s Neon Night at Ferrell and fans will be given foam glow sticks.
