This week on the Sic ’Em Podcast, we sit down with transfer DL Hosea Wheeler to hear the incredible story behind his journey to Baylor. From his early life and the trials that shaped him, to rising through the JUCO ranks, winning a National Championship at Indiana, and now becoming a Baylor Bear, Hosea shares how he’s continued to rise to every challenge along the way.

🔼 Three Takeaways. Check out Jerry Hill’s three takeaways from this week’s press conference with head football coach Dave Aranda:
D-Line Was Dominant - The Baylor defensive line dominated in the trenches, helping the Bears limit Auburn to just over three yards per carry. The line recorded five sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss.
‘Nameless, Faceless Opponent’ - The Bears aren’t looking past Prairie View A&M. Coach Aranda said, “This opponent is a nameless, faceless opponent. Our standard is the standard, regardless of who we play. That will be the fight, and I’m fired up to fight it.”
It’s Always The Quiet Guys - Wide receiver Gavin Freeman had a career game, hauling in 12 catches for 154 yards and a touchdown. His performance wasn’t a surprise to Coach Aranda, who described Freeman as a quiet and humble guy.
🔼 Sneak Peek. Baylor women’s basketball will host an open practice on Sept. 21. Doors will open at 3 p.m., with practice starting shortly after. An ice cream social with autographs will follow around 5:15 p.m.
