And the 18th-ranked Bears reigned supreme as the Baylor volleyball squad kicked off a busy weekend in Waco with a 3-1 victory over LSU to kick off the Baylor Invitational.
The Bears (6-2) handed the Tigers (5-2) the loss in four sets. Winning the first set 25-16, LSU took the second set 25-23.Baylor snuck away with the third set, 25-21, and finished the fourth 30-38 to add another win to its record.
The last time the teams faced one another was the 2018 Baylor Invitational, where the Bears also won 3-1.
🔼 Honoring The Miracle Men. Sure, this weekend is another chance to watch the Bears at McLane.
Not only that, but it’s an opportunity to honor one of the best teams in program history as Baylor is set to celebrate the 1974 SWC Championship team, known as “The Miracle on The Brazos” squad.
This weekend, the Bears will have a halftime ceremony to recognize members of the team that will be back in Waco.
