Ok, ok, probably not, but the Bears are ready to get things started!
We’ll get you ready for tomorrow night and more in today’s Brew! Check It Out Below!

this year with new leadership.
We'll discuss how they will fit in Jake Spavital's scheme, and tell
you what each individual player brings to the offense.

📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Tomorrow, Tomorrow. No, no, we’re not going to make you sing the song for us.
But that’s how we’re feeling as the first official game of the 2024-25 athletic calendar is less than 48 hours away with the Baylor soccer squad heading to Starkville, Miss. to take on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State tomorrow night.
🔼 Medal Town USA. It was a historic year for former Baylor student-athletes.
Not one, not two, not three, but 4️⃣ medals were earned by former Bears at the 2024 Olympic games in Paris.
John Peers (gold - men’s tennis), Brittney Griner (gold - women’s basketball), Avery Skinner (silver - women’s volleyball) and Kristy Wallace (bronze - women’s basketball) all brought home hardware.
Baylor’s two gold medals were more than 166 of the 206 participating countries in this year’s Olympics, and their four total medals would have ranked in the top third of all countries for 2024. And that doesn’t even count the 10 medals (five gold, three silver, two bronze) coached by Baylor track and field head coach Michael Ford (BBA ’97) in his role as Team USA’s men’s sprints/hurdles coach.
All-time, Baylor athletes have now won 20 total medals (14 gold, four silver, and two bronze) dating back to 1904 — more than 85 other countries.
🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 17 DAYS
Number of the Day: 17
It’s tough to find someone with better flow than Jonah Burton.
The Simi Valley, Calif. native is looking to take another step in his career
this fall after being one of the stories of camp last fall, earning a spot in
the WR rotation and finishing the 2023 season with three starts,
nine catches and 110 yards for the Bears.
He burst onto the scene last year with a five-catch, 88-yard
performance in the season opener. This fall, good ole #17 is looking
to do that even more often.
🎥 BAYLOR+: EXCLUSIVE SIT DOWN

Answer: Tyler Isgrig.
In the 66th minute of the season opener last year in Eugene, Isgrig took a pass from Jenna Patterson and found the back of the net to spark the 2-0 road win to kick off the fall.
