🔺 Stockpiling Stowers. We’re not sure if Kyndal Stowers is a hoarder, but she sure is stockpiling this year.

For the second straight week, the freshman sensation earned yet another Big 12 award, taking home Rookie of the Week honors yet again.

The Denton, Texas, native once again balled out for the Bears on the week, recording 36 kills over the two matches with then-No. 11 Washington State and then-No. 19 Ohio State to lead the team.

In the loss against the Cougars, she had her third overall match with 20 kills, also collecting her third double-double of the season with 11 digs. She had an impressive 5.00 kills per set and 2.75 digs per set in the four-set match.

To help the Bears get the win over the Buckeyes, she had the second-most kills on the team at 16 for 3.20 kills per set. She showed her talents on defense as well with two solo blocks and one block assist. She also dug nine balls on the night.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

A+ for Double AA. In Tuesday’s win over SFA, redshirt sophomore Alicia Andrew put forth a record-setting effort for the Bears.

The Ridgefield, Wash. native was a perfect 10-for-10 on kills, leading BU to a dominating 3-0 victory over the Lumberjacks.

It was the first time since 2013 and only the second-time ever that a Bear had 10+ kills and a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage. The performance also tied an all-time best in Big 12 history, joining four others.

Who was the other player in program history to reach that milestone?
