📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Sweepin’ Right Through. No better time to get hot than heading into conference play.

That’s exactly what the BU volleyball team has done after a 3-0 home sweep of Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night for their fifth win in the past six matches heading into Big 12 action this weekend.

Three Bears finished with 10+ kills, led by junior Elise McGhee who had 11 kills for the second consecutive match. Redshirt sophomore Alicia Andrew went a perfect 10-for-10 in kills in the victory.

Next up? #7 BYU in Utah on Saturday night.

🔺 Saturday Night Fever. Coming off the first W of the season, Baylor’s football squad will return for a Saturday night date with the #3 ranked Texas Longhorns at McLane.

BU will host the 'Horns at 6:30 pm on primetime ABC this Saturday looking to continue to pound the ball on the ground after piling up nearly 300 yards this past weekend against LIU.

🔺 There She Goes, There She Goes Again. We can’t confirm or deny this, but we believe Sixpence None The Richer may have written that song about Kyndal Stowers.

Ok, well probably not since the song came out five years before Kyndal was born, but it sums up the freshman sensation as she earned yet another Big 12 award, taking home Rookie of the Week accolades for the second straight time.

The Denton, Texas, native once again balled out for the Bears on the week, recording 36 kills over the two matches with then-No. 11 Washington State and then-No. 19 Ohio State to lead the team.

In the loss against the Cougars, she had her third overall match with 20 kills, also collecting her third double-double of the season with 11 digs. She had an impressive 5.00 kills per set and 2.75 digs per set in the four-set match.

To help the Bears get the win over the Buckeyes, she had the second-most kills on the team at 16 for 3.20 kills per set. She showed her talents on defense as well with two solo blocks and one block assist. She also dug nine balls on the night.

🎙 INSIDE BAYLOR SPORTS
