That’s exactly what a Baylor legend will be doing this summer as for the second week in a row a BU alum earned a spot on Team USA for the Olympic Games this summer.

Senior WR Monaray Baldwin is gearing up for one final ride
with the Green & Gold this fall.

Baldwin is coming off his best year yet as the team’s leading receiver
with 38 catches for 623 yards, while posting his second straight
season of four receiving TDs.

🔺 Oui Oui For BG. Move over Emily, BG is taking over Paris.

For the third time in her career, Baylor legend Brittney Griner was named to the Team USA Olympic roster this week.

Griner is one of 12 members of this year’s roster, who will look to guide Team USA to another gold medal when competition begins in late July.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist from the 2016 and 2020 games has a shot for a third-straight medal in Paris, joining former Team USA teammates Diana Taurasi, Brenna Stewart, A'ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd and Chelsea Gray.

The XXXIII Olympiad is set to kick off with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26, and the women's group phase begins on Monday, July 29. The closing ceremony and gold medal game are slated for Sunday, Aug. 11.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: CADEN JENKINS

On today’s episode we get to know Baylor Football’s Caden Jenkins.

The rising star and freshman All-American out of
Lewisville, Texas played in all 12 games for the Bears last season,
and ranked among the nation’s best first-year defensive players
in a multitude of categories.

Now, after deciding to stay at Baylor and build on
last year’s incredible campaign, Caden is looking to elevate
his game and be a cornerstone for Coach Aranda’s defensive unit.

🔺 Passport to Paris. BGAvery Skinner’s summer just got A LOT busier.

The former BU star is headed to her first-ever Olympics after earning a spot on the Team USA squad with her outstanding performance at the Volleyball Nations League.
 
An outside hitter, Skinner made her USA Volleyball senior team debut at the 2022 Pan Am Cup, where she earned the Best Spiker and Best Scorer awards while the team earned bronze. She was also on the 2022 Pan Am Cup Final Six squad that earned silver. Since then, she has played in the Volleyball Nations league with the Red, White and Blue, playing in weeks one and two in 2023 as well as the VNL final, where the team earned fourth.
 
The Texas native played at Kentucky from 2017-20 and spent her fifth year with the Bears in 2021. She was an All-American at both institutions and won the NCAA title with the Wildcats in 2020.
 
The women's indoor volleyball competition at the Paris Games begins July 27 and finishes on August 11. They will be held at the South Paris Arena, located nine miles south of the Olympic village.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

Already possessing a historic resume, BG is looking to add to it even more this summer with Team USA.

The Houston, Texas, native is in a select group to earn an Olympic gold medal, a FIBA World Cup gold medal, a WNBA title and a NCAA title.
