🏀 WALKIN’ ON SUNSHINE

You know that saying about never giving up on your dreams?

Well, Caitlin Bickle is living proof as the former BU standout inked
a seven-day contract with the Connecticut Sun over the weekend.

The former Bear previously signed a training camp contract with
the Sun prior to last season and appeared in two preseason games.

Most recently, Bickle played overseas with Greek club, Eleftheira Moschatou, during the 2023-24 season. She averaged 22.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists over 13 contests in Greece- A1 competition. Bickle enjoyed a successful collegiate career, leaving Baylor a National Champion (2019), All-Big 12 Second Team (2023), Big 12 All-Defensive Team (2023), Big 12 All-Rookie Team (2019) and a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team member.

The Sun are back in action on Friday, August 16 at 9:30 ET/8:30 PM CT against the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center in Arlington, TX.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: BAYLEY HUMPHREY (PT. II)

On this week’s episode, John Morris is handing off the mic to
Baylor Athletics’ Justin Hoff, who recently caught up with
Acrobatics & Tumbling’s Bayley Humphrey.

The new Baylor graduate is fresh off of a 4th straight
national championship, and is getting us up to speed on an
incredibly busy summer and life after college.

⚾️ STARTING WITH A BANG

Now that’s how you start the second half!

Former Bear Shea Langeliers picked up right where he left off for the Oakland A’s, launching his 18th HR of the season in the second half opener against the Angels.

Langeliers is looking to become only the second BU standout ever to post back-to-back 20+ HR seasons in the MLB.

His 18 HRs this season are the second-most by any catcher in the bigs.

⛳️ TEED UP WITH TIGER

How did you all spend your weekend?

Any chance you took a stroll with one of the best golfers in history? No?

Well, our own Davis Ovard did exactly that as he took to the course for a practice round with Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son, prior to this morning’s
opening round of the US Junior Am.

Ovard will play with Charlie as the duo tees off at 7:28 a.m. CST this morning.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games. 

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 40 DAYS

Number of the Day: 40

Wearing #40 this fall will be a difference maker that the
Baylor coaching staff is AMPED about, Keaton Thomas.

Thomas comes to Waco after an All-American career at
Northeast Mississippi CC in Booneville, Miss. In 2023, he racked
up 107 tackles, 10 TFLs, two INTs, two pass breakups and 1.5 sacks.

This spring, Thomas sat down with Baylor+ to talk about his
transition to Waco and about his journey on the gridiron.
