🔺 Crown Him. Some wait their entire careers and never get a ring.
Former BU standout Cory Bradford did it in his first season.
The rookie southpaw was a key arm out of the bullpen and helped the Texas Rangers to the 2023 World Series Championship, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-1, in the best-of-seven series.
Bradford made his debut on May 15 of this year, tossing five innings against the Atlanta Braves, the team that finished with the best record in all of baseball.
On the season, the southpaw made 20 appearances, eight of which were starts for the Rangers. He went 4-3 in 56.0 innings of work.
In the postseason, he made five appearances, allowing just one run and four hits in 7.2 innings of work.
🔺 Back In The Saddle. After a few weeks off, the BU equestrian team returns to the saddles today when it hosts its second straight Big 12 matchup, this time welcoming Fresno State to Waco.
The Bears currently sit at #8 nationally after the first few weeks of the 2023-24 season.
Action today against the Bulldogs starts at 1 pm at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.

One of the most special weekends of the year is happening this Saturday.
Sure, we’ll be honoring legends of BU’s past, but we’ll also be saluting the ones who have served or are serving our great country.
This weekend, not only is it a “White Out” at McLane, but Baylor will be posting its Salute to Service when the Cougars of Houston visit town.

📞 CALL TO THE HALL
World Series champion Max Muncy and longtime men's basketball analyst Pat Nunley highlight the Baylor Athletics Hall of Fame 2023 class that includes eight former student-athletes from six different sports.
Joining Muncy (baseball) and Nunley (men's basketball) in the latest class to be inducted will be J.D. Walton and Ken Quesenberry (football), Tiffany Townsend and Sandy Forsythe Massey (women's track and field), Denes Lukacs (men's tennis) and Stan Curry (men's track and field).
Along one of Waco’s most respected drives, 15 minutes from Baylor, 10 minutes from Ridgewood Country Club and Lake Waco, sits this prominent community focal point.
With over 4800 sf feet in total with a fully equipped guest apartment included, on over an acre and a half - this Waco home is incomparable. Set back on the exceptionally large lot and peeking through hundred-year-old live oak trees, visitors are greeted by a distinguished wrought iron tracery and columns framing a southern French style front porch.
The entire estate has been meticulously restored, including electrical, plumbing, full finish out and more. In any major Texas city, this home would be unattainable and twice the expense. Here in Waco, it is one of the most prestigious and beautiful homes there is.
