On Thursday, the excitement was reserved for the Baylor women’s hoops team who closed out their regular season era at the Ferrell Center in a big way thanks to over 6,000+ local elementary school kids.

🎥 BAYLOR+: CELEBRATING FERRELL

Baylor+ is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of its first original film, "Celebrating Ferrell: 35 Years of Baylor Basketball." 

This documentary will take fans on a nostalgic journey through the venue’s most memorable moments, including the building’s first event with Ronald Reagan in 1988, the Baylor women’s basketball team’s run of dominance, sellouts and lots of confetti over the last two decades, and the rebirth of the men’s basketball program under Scott Drew.

Celebrating Ferrell will premiere at 8 p.m. CT on Tuesday, December 19 – exclusively on Baylor+.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Closin’ Out In Style. Not much could make kids more excited than Christmas.

However, Thursday at the Ferrell Center was pretty close.

The Baylor women’s hoops team showed off their balance yet again as they moved to a perfect 9-0 and closed out the regular season era at the Ferrell Center with a dominant 99-37 win over Delaware State.

Aijha Blackwell (14/11) and Bella Fontleroy (14/11) both recorded double-doubles to lead six Bears in double-figures.

🔺 Working For The Weekend. The only school with ✌️ undefeated basketball teams will be on full display this weekend with two primetime matchups for the Bears.

Tomorrow brings two perennial powers to the docket for the Green & Gold with the men’s squad hitting the court at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit at 1 pm on FOX to battle Tom Izzo and Michigan State.

Down the road in San Antonio, the women’s squad battles #24 Miami in the Hall of Fame Series at Frost Bank Center at 4 p.m.

So get your shopping down early folks, you got Bear hoops to watch tomorrow afternoon!

🔺 Clock is Ticking. Temps may be dropping, but the track is about to heat up as Baylor Track & Field is less than a month away from kicking off their 2024 indoor season.

The Bears have four regular season indoor meets, two of which are in the state of Texas, that lead up to the Big 12 Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24 in Lubbock.

Baylor gets things started on Saturday, Jan. 13th when they travel to College Station to compete in the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational at Texas A&M.
