🎙 IBS: SPECIAL EDITION
Baylor Football has officially named Dequan Finn as their
starting quarterback for the 2024-25 season!
On this bonus episode of the podcast, we're breaking down all of
the fallout from this decision, what this means for the offense, and
how high the ceiling for the team is this year.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Poll Position. With eight straight NCAA Tournaments under their belts and a loaded roster from last fall coming back, expectations at the Ferrell Center are once again high for the Baylor volleyball squad.
This week, the Bears found themselves in a familiar face earning a top-25 ranking entering the upcoming 2024 season, sitting #23 in the preseason AVCA coaches poll.
🔼 California Love. Twelve years in and she’s still doing her thing.
Baylor legend Odyssey Sims rejoined the Los Angeles Sparks this past weekend, signing with the organization for the second time in her WNBA career.
In 11 WNBA seasons with five organizations, including the Sparks, the 5-foot-8 guard has averaged 11.3 points, 3.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds, while shooting 39.5 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from distance. This season, Sims started seven of nine games for the Dallas Wings, averaging 17.2 points, 5.6 assists and 1.7 steals, while shooting 53.5% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc.
This is her second stint in LA, playing 2017 and 2018 with the Sparks, averaging 8.9 points and 3.1 assists over 65 games (38 starts). In 2019, she was named an All-Star and earned All-WNBA Second Team honors.
🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 11 DAYS
Number of the Day: 11
One of the most anticipated student-athletes for many fans to see
this fall for the Baylor football squad may be the guy wearing
#11 on the outside, Ketron Jackson Jr.
Jackson arrived in Waco last fall after two seasons at Arkansas. In his first season with the Bears, he ranked third on the team with 28 catches,
489 yards and one TD.
This fall? Watch out.
