🏈 C-YA IN CINCY

Regrouped.
Refocused.
Let’s Go.

Baylor’s football team is ready to take flight to the “birthplace of aviation.”

The Bears hit the road Saturday for a brunch time kickoff with Big 12 newcomer, Cincinnati, at Nippert Stadium.

Baylor will be looking for its second conference win when they battle the Bearcats on Saturday.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Power Supply. If the BU women’s hoops team had a resume for the 2023-24 season, it’d already be getting close to needing a second page.

For the third time this week, the Bears earned a spot on a Preseason Watch List, this time, it was ✌️ spots on this list.

Dre'Una Edwards and Darianna Littlepage-Buggs were both named to the 2024 Katrina McClain Award Preseason Watch List this week.

The recognition marks the second-straight year that Edwards has been one of 20 candidates to earn the honor, while this is the first-career national preseason accolade for Littlepage-Buggs.

Named after the two-time All-American and 1987 National Player of the Year, the annual award in its seventh year recognizes the top power forwards in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. A national committee of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates.

🔺 Fill Up Ferrell. With BU football on the road, it gives the Green & Gold faithful a great opportunity to fill up the Ferrell Center for a big time weekend for the 21st-ranked Baylor volleyball team.

The Bears enter this weekend with #24 UCF having won four of their past five matches, including a sweep in Cincinnati last weekend.

It’ll be an awesome weekend at Ferrell as Saturday is the Cub Club Event of the month with first serve set for 2 p.m., while Sunday is the program’s annual Pink Game to honor those who have fought and are fighting Breast Cancer.

On the court, BU will have to be sharp defensively as the Golden Knights lead the country in aces per set. Junior Elise McGhee has led the Bears in the past few matches and now has over 200 kills on the season for the Green & Gold.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

While this is the first-ever meeting between Cincinnati and Baylor, this is not the first trip to the Buckeye State for the Bears.

BU played at Ohio State in both 1978 and 1982.

In that 1982 matchup in Columbus, who was the first Bear to score a touchdown in that game?
