🔺 The House Of Blues Bears. Memphis, here come the Bears!
Only fitting that an NBA arena that is home to the Grizzlies will be home for the Baylor men’s hoops squad this week as BU learned its NCAA Tournament fate on Sunday night.
For a second straight season, Baylor earned a #3 seed and will take on 14th-seeded Colgate on Friday at FedEx Forum.
🔺 Bears In Blacksburg. And now the dance begins.
The women’s squad learned at least part of its NCAA Tournament fate as the Bears earned a #5 seed in this year’s Big Dance and will head to Blacksburg for the first two rounds.
However, the opponent is TBD as Baylor will take on the winner of Wednesday’s play-in game between Vanderbilt and Columbia.
🔺 Flippin’ Out. Saturday was one for the ages for the top-ranked BU acrobatics & tumbling squad.
Senior Day.
Nearly 2,000 in the stands.
A top-five opponent in town.
It had all the makings of an epic day and it lived up to the hype with the Bears coming up with hard-fought 278.715-275.555 victory over #4 Gannon. It was the first loss of the season for the Golden Knights.
For head coach Felecia Mulkey, it was her 90th career victory at Baylor (90-2 overall) and the program’s 33rd-consecutive win.
🔺 Going Green. It was only fitting that on St. Patrick’s Day, the green shined a little brighter at Baylor Ballpark.
Battling weather all weekend long, the Baylor baseball team never flinched, fighting their way to a Top-25 series win, taking two-of-three from the visiting Red Raiders of Texas Tech, who entered the weekend ranked #23 in the country.
After taking a tough 2-0 loss in game 1, the Bears bounced back with what became a Sunday sweep (5-1 and 7-2) after rain affected Saturday’s second game.
It was the arms of BU on full display as the Red Raiders entered the weekend averaging 12.2 runs per game, but scored just five all weekend long against the Bears’ hurlers.
