🎙 INSIDE BAYLOR SPORTS

breakdown and talking Baylor offensive line!

and give you our expectations for this group that has a wide range of outcomes.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Three Of A Kind. Without even stepping onto the field for the Bears, Dequan Finn already has a resume with him.

On Thursday, the Toledo transfer was named a candidate for the 2024 Golden Arm Award.

Finn, who is earning his third preseason watch list mention, is one of 63 of the nation's leading quarterbacks included on the candidate list. The award annually recognizes the top senior or upperclassman quarterback set to graduate with their class.

A native of Detroit, Finn comes to Baylor having played in 45 games over his collegiate career, including 32 starts. He has racked up 7,074 yards and 63 passing touchdowns, while rushing for another 1,840 yards in his career on 389 carries with 25 TDs. This is Finn's second-career mention on the Golden Arm Award watch list.

🔼 To The Wire. On the road against a top-20 opponent is never an easy way to get things started.

That’s exactly how the Baylor women’s soccer squad kicked off the 2024 season and took the Bulldogs of Mississippi State to the wire, but dropped a tough 1-0 decision on Thursday night.

🔼 Flyin’ The Flag. It’s been over 10 years since Joe Farley officially competed for Baylor.

But don’t you worry, the former Big 12 champion is still flying that flag as Farley recently earned a bronze medal in the pole vault at the World Masters Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The World Masters Championships is a competition put together for the best athletes who are 35 or older.

Way to go Joe!

🔼 Community Connect. As school is getting underway for many children around the country, our Bears spend some time connecting in the local community this week with the Baylor women’s hoops squad hitting up South Waco Elementary to hang with some of biggest supporters in the area!

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 15 DAYS

Number of the Day: 15

No better way to highlight 15 than one of the best to
ever wear the Baylor uniform, #15 Ray Crockett.

As a four-year letterman, Crockett tortured opposing offenses, including
in the 1985 Liberty Bowl when he helped the Bears to a win over LSU.

From the secondary, Crockett racked up 193 tackles,
28 pass breakups and three INTs before taking his game to the NFL.
