🏀 HEATING UP

We tried to warn them! Someone let Adam Flagler get hot though!

In his first two NBA Summer League games for OKC, Flagler has poured
in back-to-back 20+ point outings and is averaging 21.5 ppg, while
knocking down 10 three-pointers to be among the league leaders
in many offensive categories.

Flagler and his Thunder teammates are back in action tonight on
NBATV as they battle with another former Bear, Jalen Bridges
and the Phoenix Suns Summer League squad.

🎮 GAME ON!

🏈 LESSONS LEARNED

With less than 50 days to kickoff, Coach Aranda and the Bears have one thing on their minds, proving the doubters wrong… again.

Three years ago, when the Bears were picked to finish eighth in the 10-team Big 12 media poll, all they did was record the best season in program history. That 2021 Baylor team not only beat Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship game, it won a school-record 12 games (12-2) and capped it all off with a win over Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl.

With the Bears picked 12th  in the 16-team league this year, Aranda said he is "excited to get to work and to prove that we're a better team than what we are perceived as."

"I look at the lessons from last year showing up in the moves that we made this year," Aranda said at last weeks's Big 12 Media Day in Las Vegas.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 45 DAYS

Number of the Day: 45

Last year was just a snippet of what could be coming in
the bright future of #45 Hawkins Polley.

Playing in only two games to main his redshirt, Polley caught his first career TD pass in a critical moment late in the game against Houston.

Polley came to Waco after a star-studded career at Stratford High School and will look to make a name for himself this upcoming fall for the Bears.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

Baylor quarterback and fan favorite Nick Florence.

During his time behind center, Florence set Baylor’s single-game and
single-season passing yards records, while being named an All-American,
Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year, and a member of the All-Big 12 First Team.

Now, Florence remains an active member of the Waco community and
serves as the Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts here at his alma mater.
