🔺 Back On The Prowl. 249 days. Nearly 6,000 hours. Over 350,000 minutes.

Not that we’ve been counting or anything, but it’s been a little while since we’ve seen our Bears on the gridiron, so pardon us if we’re a tad excited about Saturday’s season opener!

Texas State - 6 pm - McLane Stadium. Be there!

🔺 Drawing Even. Big crowd? No problem.

Facing off against a perennial NCAA Tournament team is tough enough. Facing them with the ninth-largest regular season crowd in NCAA history behind them? That ratchets it up a bit.

Baylor’s soccer squad did exactly that on Saturday evening and earned a 1-1 draw against Texas A&M.

With nearly 7,000 fans surrounding them, the Bears weren’t rattled at all, getting on the board in the 16th minute when Ashley Merrill blistered a ball off a beautiful feed from Tyler Isgrig.

Baylor keeper Ashlee Zirkel was tremendous in goal, recording five saves on the night and keeping a potent Aggies attack at bay for most of the evening.

It’s the seventh time in 21 all-time matches against the Aggies that the Bears were able to tally a point.

🔺 Thanks for Stopping By. And we’ll see you soon!

Saturday was the Annual Meet the Bears event at McLane and it was so awesome seeing so many members of our Baylor family out battling the heat and supporting the Green and Gold!

Smiles were seen, laughs were had, autographs were captured and many, many pictures were taken!

🔺 Stower Power. Notice is served.

Highly-touted coming out of high school, freshman Kyndal Stowers backed up the hype against two of the top teams in the country as the newcomer was named to the Big Ten/Big 12 Challenge All-Tournament team.

Stowers had a team-high 24 kills, in addition to five service aces in the Bears showdowns with #2 Wisconsin and #7 Minnesota.

Baylor opens up its home slate this Friday when they host in-state rival Rice at the Ferrell Center.

🔺 All They Do Is Win. They were foundational pieces of building the Baylor program.

Years later, they’re continuing their winnings ways as Isaiah Austin and Quincy Miller teamed up with former NBA stars to win the Big3 Championship this past weekend.

The young league that was started in recent years by world famous hip-hop artist Ice Cube, is full of former NBA and college stars with Austin and Miller teaming up with Nick Young and Jordan Crawford as part of the Enemies squad.

Their squad came out on top with a thrilling 50-43 victory over the top-seed in the title game that was shown nationally on CBS Sports.

Over the past five years, The Champions’ Tribune has brought you inside the minds, stories, and lives of our Baylor student-athletes.

We’ve kicked off year six with a powerful look into Baylor Baseball’s Cole Posey, a Georgetown, Texas native who made a few stops before arriving in Waco.

It’s a place that he shares, is always where he was meant to be.

🐻 THIS IS BEAR COUNTRY

Gear Up, Baylor Fam! The brand new This is Bear Country Game Day Collection was unveiled this week, and we’ve got something for everyone!

Baylor Athletics is warmly welcoming both dedicated fans and newcomers alike to the heart of Texas this fall. In anticipation of a football season featuring eight home games and exciting new Conference matchups, the University has collaborated with the Baylor Bookstore to unveil this limited collection celebrating Baylor Game Days in Bear Country.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

The Friendly Confines. Sweet, Sweet Betty Lou Mays.

After three road battles, it’s time to come home.

Baylor’s futbol squad is excited to be back on the pitch in Waco this week when it hosts La Tech in the 2023 home opener.

Betty Lou has been a place that the Bears have protected in recent years, defending their home turf to high level.

In the past 50 games at home, what is Baylor’s home record?

That’s good for a .670 winning percentage that dates back to the end of the 2017 season.

Now it’s time to protect our home once again.
