📈 STOCK UP
🔺 Go For The Gold. Throw on your brightest gold and get to Betty Lou TONIGHT!
We’ve got rally towels, Kona Ice, posters and some team from Austin coming to town.
That’s right, the 16th-ranked Longhorns visit Betty Lou tonight for Baylor’s women’s soccer squad Big 12 opener at 7 pm.
The Bears have won three of their past four matches, including a dominating 7-0 win over Abilene Christian this past Sunday.
We need you! BE THERE!
🔺 Caged By The Cougars. In the first of two home showdowns with a top-20 team, BU’s volleyball team faced a veteran laden Washington State team.
Freshman standout Kyndal Stowers continued her hot streak with another 20 kill performance, but the Bears fell, 3-1, after WSU reeled off wins in the final three sets of the match.
The match pitted two programs in completely different places this season with the Cougars playing only underclassmen all night, while the Bears have zero seniors on the roster.
Next up? A visit from the 19th-ranked Buckeyes on Friday night to Ferrell.
🔺 What A Welcome. For the first time since 2014, a Baylor freshman led the women’s golf team at the first event of the season.

🔺 Lacin’ Em Up. The Bears women’s cross country squads is heading across the state as they lace them up for the second time this fall, this time at the Texas A&M Invitational.
The squad will look to build open their season opening races against a tough field in College Station. The race gets underway at 8 am on Friday morning.
🏈 SATURDAY BRUNCH AT MCLANE?
Sure, we’ve got some great brunch locations around Waco, but what’s better than hanging out with your Baylor fam and enjoying some great tailgating right at McLane!
For the first time in program history, Baylor will be welcoming Long Island University to campus for a third straight home game.
The Bears defensive unit will look to stay strong after going toe-to-toe with a potent Utah offense this past weekend. BU’s defense has had three sacks and six TFLs in each of the first two games of the season.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA
We Got Some First Timers Here. New faces in new places.
That could be a motto for Baylor football’s first two games of the 2023 season as the Bears have relied heavily upon first-time starters and newcomers so far this fall.
A total of 17 of Baylor's starters in the first two games have been first-time starters. Eight of those first-time starters have started both of the first two games, which makes that 25 of Baylor's 44 starts (57%) in the first two games coming from players who had not started a game prior to 2023.
How many first-time starters did the Bears have through the first two games of each of the past two years (2021 + 2022) combined?
Got a guess?
