The Baylor women’s tennis team is chasing a title this week in Stillwater.

Baylor+ takes you behind-the-scenes with the Bears as they took
down SMU late in the regular season. Get to know the Green & Gold
as they look to bring some hardware back to Waco.

🔺 Mountain Topped. This time of year, it’s all about surviving and advancing.

The 34th-ranked Baylor women’s team did exactly that at the Big 12 Championships, taking down 11th-seeded West Virginia, 4-2, in the first round on Wednesday afternoon.

After dropping the doubles point, the Bears rallied to take four of the first five singles match to claim victory.

In tomorrow’s quarterfinal showdown with Oklahoma, BU is looking to reach the Big 12 semis for the first time since 2021.

The Baylor men’s basketball team officially welcomed another stellar addition on Wednesday with the signing of V.J. Edgecombe to their 2024 signing class.

A native of Nassau, Bahamas, Edgecombe is coming off a stellar senior season at Long Island Lutheran, where he helped the Crusaders reach No. 2 in the ESPN High School basketball rankings. He was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in New York for the second-straight season.

Edgecombe joins Robert Wright, Jason Asemota and Noah Boyed in a class rated as high as No. 2 in the country by On3.com. ESPN, Rivals and 247 Sports also have the Bears' 2024 class ranked in the top-5.

🔺 Building Champions. Each month, the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence selects four champions of the month.

This award recognizes student-athletes who achieve their personal bests in the areas of academic achievement, athletic success, character formation and spiritual growth. 
 
Each of these student-athletes was nominated by a SACE team member based upon their embodiment of each of the four pillars.

Molly Roberts (equestrian), Alexis Brown (women's track & field), Davis Ovard (men's golf) and Louis Bowden (men's tennis) have been selected as the April Champions of the Month.

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.

A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams. 

On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
