🎥 BAYLOR+: ON CAMPUS WITH ELLIOT

With spring ball well underway in Waco, Baylor+ is excited to unveil a brand new series that takes BU fans behind the scenes and gives an inside scoop on some of the newest faces in the Baylor football program.

Throughout the next few weeks, former Bear Elliot Coffey will sit down with the newest players and coaches wearing Green & Gold this spring.

In the first episode of “On Campus With Elliot Coffey”, we introduce new Offensive Coordinator & QB Coach for Baylor Football, Jake Spavital.
Hear why he chose to come to Baylor, his plans for the offense, and
learn all about his successful coaching history.

The Spring Outlook

On today’s show we recap a busy weekend in Baylor Athletics
and look ahead to the next two months for our Olympic sports teams
as they take center stage to finish out the 23-24 academic calendar year. 

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Going The Distance. We’re not sure if Ellie Hodge and Rachel Hickey are T-Swift fans, but they sure are climbing the charts like the pop star.

The distance duo was part of a big showing from the BU distance crew this past weekend at the Battle On The Bayou Meet hosted by LSU.

Hodge ahd Hickey both posted top-10 all-time times in the 1500 to highlight a strong weekend by the Green & Gold.

🔺  Showin’ Out. Millions around the world dressed up in their Sunday Best to enjoy Easter service and dinner with family and friends.

Six former Baylor standouts were trying to show out in a different as they participated in the first-ever Big 12 Pro Day in Dallas over the weekend.

Offensive lineman Clark Barrington, defensive linemen TJ Franklin, Gabe Hall and Justin Sambu, and linebackers Mike Smith Jr. and Byron Vaughns all participated in the event, which was held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: KIP WELLS

On this week’s episode we’re joined by Baylor baseball legend Kip Wells. 

The Texas native Wells played for the Bears for 3 years and accumulated almost 300 strikeouts and a handful of Big-12 postseason awards before going on to be a 1st round pick by the Chicago White Sox in the 1998 MLB Draft. 

And now, after a lengthy career in the major leagues, Kip is carrying on his legacy on the diamond by giving back to his community and training young athletes.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

In Baylor’s Sweet 16 showdown with top-seeded USC, Sarah Andrews connected on five three-pointers. It’s the second most by any Baylor player in an NCAA Tournament game.

In the 34 games this season, how many times did SA connect on at least one three-pointer?

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.

A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams. 

On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
