🔺 Soaring To New Heights. While most college students will be using the end of August to transition into a new semester, BU rising sophomore Molly Haywood adjusting to a new country and WORLD competition.

That’s right, the Tomball, Texas native soared to new heights last week when she took home silver medalist honors in the pole vault at USATF U20 Championships to punch her ticket to the U20 World Championships this summer.

Haywood finished with a mark of 4.40m (14-05.25) to earn her qualifying spot. The World Athletics U20 Championships is a biennial world championship for the sport of athletics organized by the World Athletics, contested by athletes in the under-20 athletics age category.

🔺 True Strength. Sure, we love watching our Bears compete on the field, court, track, diamond and any setting.

But what we really love is seeing our Bears grow into incredible people.

Champions' TriBUne is a special feature that gives the Baylor Family a student-athlete's perspective and the chance for them to share their own story.

The latest edition comes from Bayley Humphrey, a graduating senior on the BU acrobatics & tumbling squad. She was a three-time NCATA All-American and the 2022 Specialist of the Year, as well as part of four national championship teams with acrobatics & tumbling.

A native of Chandler, Ariz., Baylor earned her undergrad degree in health science studies and has already been accepted to the UTMB master's program to become a Pathologist Assistant.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: DAROLD WILLIAMSON

During a golden era that established Baylor as "Quartermiler U.,"
Darold Williamson was the anchor leg for 4x400 relay teams that won a combined seven Big 12 titles, 2 national indoor titles, and the
2004 NCAA Outdoor championship.

The summer after his junior season at Baylor, Williamson made the finals
of the 400 at the USA Olympic Trials, and went on to win a gold medal
as the anchor leg in the 4x400 in Athens.

Now, 20 years after his first place finish, Williamson reflects on
an incredible legacy, and gets us ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
