On today's episode we're taking a detailed look at this weekend's upcoming game for Baylor football as they take on Air Force at home.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Johnny On The Spot. For four years, Johnny Keefer rewrote the Baylor men’s golf record books and put on a show time after time for the Green & Gold.

Those performances didn’t stop when he moved to the pro circuit this summer as the PGA Tour Americas rookie locked up the Fortinet Cup this past weekend.

Keefer finished third this past weekend to finish the season with four runner-ups, eight top-five finishes and one tournament championship.

With his efforts, Keefer took home the spot in the Fortinet Cup standings to earn exempt status for the 2025 season on the Korn Ferry Tour, one step away from the PGA TOUR.

🔼 Sunday Bears. Sundays are usually a day a rest for many.

Not for seven former Bears who earned spots on their squads active NFL rosters on opening weekend.

The seven former Baylor standouts represent five different teams and on opening weekend, those five teams went a combined 4-1.

Terrel Bernard picked up where he left off, helping his Bills team to a come-from-behind win with 11 tackles on the day. Tyquan Thornton and JaMycal Hasty both saw action in New England’s upset of the Bengals. Andrew Billings (three tackles) helped the Bears defense shine in their win over Tennessee, while Jalen Pitre (three tackles, one pass deflected) and Jon Weeks were a part of Houston’s nailbiter win over the Colts.

🔼 Just Kickin’ It. Sophomore Palmer Williams is having quite the start to the 2024 campaign.

The punter for the Baylor football squad broke a single-game program record this past weekend at Utah and on Tuesday, he was named to the Ray Guy Award “Ray’s 8” list, which honors the nation’s top eight punters of the week.

Williams punted six times in BU's contest at No. 11 Utah on Saturday for a total of 376 yards, breaking Baylor's program record with 62.7 yards per punt. The native of Advance, N.C., broke his own career best four different times, with boots of 57, 60, 76 and 79 yards, a massive fourth-quarter kick that went for his only touchback of the day. Two of Williams' punts were downed inside-the-20 and all six traveled greater than 50 yards, tying another program record.

🎥 BAYLOR+: THE MIRACLE

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of one of the most inspiring underdog stories in college football history, Baylor+ announced today the upcoming premiere of a new original documentary, The Miracle on the Brazos.

The film tells the complete story of the 1974 Baylor Bears football team under legendary head coach Grant Teaff, who defied all odds to capture their first undisputed conference title in 50 years.

Predicted to finish last in the Southwest Conference, Baylor dropped its first two games of the 1974 season before the Bears won 8 of their next 9 – including the iconic comeback victory against Texas – en route to an appearance in the Cotton Bowl.
