Happy Tuesday Bears! It’s been 141 days since our Bears were on the hardwood, not that we’ve been counting or anything.

Man, does it feel good to have them back in action, even if it’s halfway across the globe!

Both our squads take on their first game action during their European tours, football camp is in full swing and some more media day sights and sounds.

🔺 Jour De Match! For those who don’t speak French, that’s “Game Day” for our Bears in Paris.

Our BU Men’s Hoops squad will be in action for the first of three games during its tour of France, this time in Paris.

Plus, who doesn’t love a little food review from some of our guys?

🔺 Sights, Sounds and Spectacular Play. What a trip its been so far for the Baylor Women’s Hoops squad as they are five days into their trip of a lifetime in Italy and Greece.

🔺 Going Camping. Football camps are in full swing, both in Waco and around the country, including the NFL, which features plenty of our former Bears.

The most recent addition to those NFL camps? Our own Abram Smith, former XFL star and now a part of the Minnesota Vikings training camp.

🔺 Shine Bright Like A Diamond. Our girls are ready to shine this fall!

In search of its eighth-straight 20+ win season, the Baylor volleyball squad is hitting the courts to open up fall camp, but before they do that, the Bears jumped in front of the camera and enjoyed some time at media day.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 25 DAYS

Now that’s how you finish a career!

That’s how you can describe the last 25 games of Bryce Petty’s career as he ended his time in Waco with a record-setting streak.

Petty’s final 25 games for the Bears, beginning on Aug. 31, 2013 until Jan. 1, 2015, he threw a TD pass in every single one of them.

That 25-game streak is the longest in program history.

We are less than TWO WEEKS away from the start of the 2023-2024 Baylor athletic calendar. The Baylor soccer squad kicks things off (literally) when they travel to Oregon to take on the Ducks on August 17th at 9 pm CST.

Two weeks later, the soccer, volleyball, cross country and football teams are ALL in action. Block off that weekend and make sure you’ve got the Green and Gold ready!

Order those shirts. Secure those tickets.

Tickling the Twine. In BU women’s soccer exhibition opener against Oklahoma on Sunday, the Bears put together a 3-2 victory over the Sooners.

Leading the way was Ashley Merrill, scoring the first goal of the contest for the Bears. Merrill was the team’s leading point scorer last fall with six (four goals, two assists).

Merrill has been a goal scorer throughout her career, which started at Dallas Baptist.

How many total collegiate goals does she have? (DBU and Baylor)
