April 16th Edition:
What A Pair

and Baylor Track and Field. We also discuss Ja’Kobe Walter
and Yves Missi declaring for the NBA Draft and Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling picking up the No. 1 seed for next week’s NCATA Championship.

🔺 And He’s Just Getting Started. While the Utah Jazz didn’t earn a spot in this year’s NBA playoffs, their future is incredibly bright.
Leading that future is former Baylor star Keyonte George, who wrapped up his rookie season with Utah this past weekend.
George dropped yet another 20+ point performance in the season finale. He is one of only two rookies (Portland’s Scoot Henderson is the other) to finish with average of 13+ ppg, 4+ apg and 2.5 rpg.
🔺 Setting the Stage. You remember in elementary school when our teachers made us set the scene?
Well, the scene has been set for this Saturday’s annual Green & Gold Spring Game at McLane Stadium.
On tap? A look at the new offense, new faces and several new amenities around McLane.
The Green & Gold Game will start at 12 p.m. Admission is free and the gates will open at 11 a.m. Parking will be free in the stadium lots.
The format for the day will focus on a traditional practice with limited team competition periods during the event. With the structure of the event geared more towards a productive practice there will be no broadcast or streaming option.
The offense will wear green uniforms and the defense will don gold.
🔺 Vibin’ Out. Before even hitting the courts, two former Bears were already a part of history with the Atlanta Vibe of the Pro Volleyball Federation.
In its inaugural season, the duo are now even more a part of history as the Vibe is ROLLING through the year with the league’s best record of 15-4 and atop the league’s standings.
Shelly Fanning has played in all 19 matches for the Vibe, while Yossiana Pressley has seen action in 10 of 19 matches.
🎙 SIC ’EM POD: BAYLEY HUMPHREY
On this week’s episode we’re joined by Baylor Acrobatics & Tumbling’s Bayley Humphrey.
The senior out of Arizona is one of the premier athletes in her sport, and is enjoying another excellent season with the Bears.
Now, she’s looking forward to capturing another National Championship, and a unique life after college.
🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA
On Monday, Baylor Baseball was rewarded for its outstanding play of late when leadoff hitter and pacesetter, Enzo Apodaca, was named the Big 12 Player of the Week.
Apodaca was terrific in BU's road sweep at BYU, leading the team and the league with a .600 batting average for the week and reaching base in 12 of his 18 plate appearances against the Cougars. He totaled nine hits, including a five-hit performance in Saturday's series finale, and racked up five RBIs with runs driven in in each of the three games.
Of Enzo’s 48 hits so far this season, how many are for extra bases?
Got a guess?

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES
Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.
A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams.
On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
