🔺 Always Remember Your First. In his 51st MLB game and his 139th at-bat, former BU star Nick Loftin launched his first career major league HR on Tuesday night in Oakland.
Loftin is part of the upstart Royals, who are in position to battle for an AL Wild Card spot this summer.
In his second season with KC, the former Bear is hitting .253 with 12 RBIs in 32 games as he’s platooning for the Royals.
🔺 Everyone Loves A Reese. No, we’re not talking about the peanut butter cups, although those are delicious too. We’re talking about Richard Reese, a rising junior on the Baylor football squad.
His resume grew longer this week as the backfield star was named the Big 12 Student-Athlete of the Month for the Bears for the month of May.
The conference selects a winner from each school that not only excel at their sport, but also demonstrate leadership, perseverance, and strong commitments to academics and community service.
🔺 Welcome to Bear Country. A loaded 2024 BU volleyball roster got even a little stronger this week.
Coach McGuyre announced the addition of Brielle Warren, a transfer from Purdue, to the program.
Warren transfers from Purdue University to join the Bears with three years of eligibility as an outside hitter. She spent the 2024 spring semester at Colorado State.
Originally from College Station, Texas, Warren redshirted her freshman season and appeared in one match in her second year with the Boilermakers.
A graduate of Fulshear High School in 2022, she was ranked as the No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas by PrepDig.com. She was named to the 2021 AVCA All-America Watch List and was named first-team on the 2021 All-VYPE Public School preseason honors list. Warren helped guide the Chargers to a runner-up finish in the UIL 5A State Championship in 2020. She and her Fulshear squad were UIL 5A Area Champions in 2019.
She has been a part of the USA Volleyball training programs, earning MOP honors as a freshman during the U15 Junior Olympics. She also was a member of the 2021 USA U19 Summer Training Series.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!
This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.
The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.
The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.
