🐻 BEARS IN PARIS
It was a scene that Bears had observed many times.
Big match, big performance for Avery Skinner.
Skinner was huge for Team USA women’s volleyball as posted a double, double (12 kills, 10 digs) to help the Americans surge past Poland and advanced to the Olympic quarterfinals on Thursday morning against Brazil.
Two more Bears are in women’s hoops quarterfinal action today as well with Britney Griner and Team USA taking on Nigeria and Kristy Wallace and her Australian teammates battling Serbia.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Welcome To Waco. And the squad just got a little deeper.
This week, an already loaded crop of newcomers grew by one as the Bears welcomed All-American Davidson Hubbard to the men’s basketball program.
A native of Charlotte, N.C., Hubbard started 82 of 92 games for Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia. This past season, he helped the Tigers to a 31-3 record and a berth in the Division III National title game. In total, Hubbard helped his team win 71 games in four years.
A second-team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and a third-team All-American by D3Hoops.com, he averaged a career-best 14.9 points across 34 games last season. The First-Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference performer shot .469% from the field, .318% from three-point range and .818% from the free-throw line while nabbing 31 steals and 14 blocks.
🔼 Future So Bright. A three-time All-American. An Olympian.
What a career it’s already been for Zaza and the best part? He’s just getting started.
The Baylor star finished his Olympic stay by finishing 24th in the world in the javelin with a toss of 254’ 4” in Paris on Tuesday morning.
🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 24 DAYS
Number of the Day: 24
Amongst a young and loaded group in the
defensive secondary is #24 Corey Gordon, Jr.
In his redshirt freshman season last fall, Gordon played in 11 games
and earned four starts. He totaled 30 tackles and racked up
four pass breakups for the Bears.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.
