Baylor Men's Basketball Bounces Back in Orlando

On today’s show we recap last night’s 77-69 win over UCF for Baylor men’s basketball, and also talk Baylor Bears in the NBA.

Plus, we preview tomorrow night’s women’s basketball game featuring 13th ranked Baylor versus 12th ranked Texas.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Storming The Castle. In this league, every game is big.

After three straight nail-biters, the BU men’s squad turned it up in the second half and rode the hot hand of Langston Love en route to a 77-69 win at UCF on Wednesday night.

Love knocked down five 3-pointers as part of a career-best 24 points as the Bears never let the Knights within one possession in the last five minutes to close out the victory.

🔺 Shining Bright. For the past five seasons, Gabe Hall has worn the Green & Gold with pride.

Now, he’s wearing those colors with some of the best players in the country.

Hall, who was an All-Conference performer on the defensive line for the Bears, is now on display at this week’s Reese’s Senior Bowl.

🔺 Must See TV. It’s tough to get bigger than this one.

Thursday night. ESPN Primetime. ✌️ Top-15 teams. One in-state rivalry.

All of that wrapped up into TONIGHT at Foster Pavilion when the 13th-ranked Baylor women’s team hosts the 12th-ranked Longhorns of Texas in a critical Big 12 showdown.

🎙 NEW SIC ‘EM POD: RAYJ DENNIS

When graduate transfer RayJ Dennis stepped foot on Baylor’s campus in the summer of 2023, he knew he had found a new home.

After being born with a club foot and spending the first 2 years of his life in leg casts, RayJ knows what it means to face and overcome true adversity.

Now as a key starter for the nationally ranked Baylor Bears, RayJ wants to continue to defy the odds and accomplish even more.

🏀 WELCOME BACK, BG!

She was at the heart of the transformation of the BU women’s hoops program and honestly at the heart of the rise of women’s collegiate hoops overall.

Now, her jersey will be hanging from the rafters of Foster Pavilion as Baylor announced that the women’s basketball program will retire former Baylor Bear Brittney Griner’s No. 42 jersey later this month.

The special pregame ceremony is set for Sunday, Feb. 18 when the Green & Gold host Texas Tech at 3 p.m.
