📈 STOCK UP

🔺 A Class By Himself. Coach Ryan McGuyre is etched in the Baylor record books forever.

In his ninth season at the helm, McGuyre has guided the Bears to unprecedented success and over the weekend, three straight victories at the CSU Invitational moved the head coach into sole possession for most wins in program history with 183.

BU swept both Colorado State and Pacific and took home a 3-1 win over Bowling Green to improve to 4-3 on the season.

Freshmen Kyndal Stowers continued her incredible debut season with a strong weekend in Fort Collins.

🔺 Tip Of The Cap. For the first time in two years and the 20th in program history, the hats poured onto the field at Betty Lou Mays Stadium on Sunday evening.

Well, ok, there were no actual hats thrown on the field like in ice hockey, but you get the point.

Ashley Merrill continued her goal scoring prowess with a career-high three goal performance to lead the Bears to a dominating 7-0 win over Abilene Christian to wrap up non-conference play at 4-2-1.

The seven goals is the most Baylor has scored since 2016 when BU defeated Jackson State, 7-0. ACU entered Sunday’s game having not allowed a single second half goal all season, BU scored five of their seven after the break.

🔺 Fight Til The End. It’s coming.

The result didn’t come, but the fight was there all day long as the Baylor football squad took one of the nation’s best to the wire, but dropped a really tough 20-13 decision to the 12th-ranked Utes of Utah.

The Bears defense kept a potent Utah offense at bay most of the day until the Utes were able to get two late scores and hold off a furious Baylor rally.

🔺 Max Effort. Here Come Max and the Boys!

Former Bear, and soon to be Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame member, Max Muncy continues to help his Los Angeles Dodgers squad make a push to the postseason, hitting .293 with five HRs and 19 RBIs in the past 15 games.

The Dodgers are 12 games up in the National League West and have a magic number of eight to clinch their fifth Division title in the past six years.

Answer: Northern Iowa AT Colorado State.

That’s right, in an ironic twist of fate, Coach McGuyre’s first victory also came in Fort Collins when BU battled to a 3-2 neutral site win over UNI. That victory also came on a Saturday, much like the record-setting win over Bowling Green eight-plus seasons later.
