🎙 SIC ‘EM POD WITH COACH DREW

There are few better stories in college basketball over the past 2 decades than that of Scott Drew and the Baylor Men’s Basketball program.

From coaching his brothers and sisters at a young age, to taking over a Baylor program that had not seen postseason play in nearly two decades, Coach Drew has yet to find a challenge too grand to take on.

Now, after 21 years and taking Baylor to heights that few programs have been, there is still work to be done. Scott Drew is a father and a husband, a devout Christian, a 3-time Big 12 coach of the year, a national champion, and is proud to be the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Baylor University.

🔺 Westward Bound. The Bears are westward bound.

The 25th-ranked Baylor men’s tennis team kicks off a four-match, 10-day swing through the Grand Canyon State today with a showdown with Arizona State.

After a 2-0 start for the 18th time in the past 24 seasons, the Bears look continue their strong play against the Sun Devils, followed by #16 Arizona (Sunday) and then two matches at the ITA Kick-off in Tucson.

🔺 Building Champions. Each month, the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence selects four champions of the month.

This award recognizes student-athletes who achieve their personal bests in the areas of academic achievement, athletic success, character formation and spiritual growth.

Each of these student-athletes was nominated by a SACE team member based upon their embodiment of each of the four pillars.

For the month of January, Ja’Kobe Walter (men’s basketball), Elise McGhee (volleyball), Tre Emory (football) and Madison Bartley (women’s basketball) were selected for the honor.
