The longest running collegiate homecoming celebration in the country is BACK!
An annual celebration that dates back to 1909 will be on display as the Bears host Iowa State in a critical Big 12 showdown at McLane Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
BU (3-4, 2-2 Big 12 Conference) sits in a tie for fifth place in the league standings, and will face Iowa State (4-3, 3-1 Big 12), who is currently in a four-way tie for second.
Baylor is 50-43-4 on Homecoming and have won four straight and 11 of its last 12 Homecoming matchups.

🔺 Coming Soon. 🔟 days til tipoff.
That’s all that separates us from the return of Baylor Hoops!
First up, the 20th-ranked women’s squad on Nov. 6th when they host Southern at Ferrell.
But first, fans can get a sneak peek of what’s to come when the Bears host Hardin-Simmons next Friday, Nov. 3 at 7pm for an exhibition showdown in Waco.
🔺 Well Done, Rook. First impressions go a long way.
For BU futbol’s Callie Conrad, those impressions landed her on the All-Big 12 Freshman Team, announced this week by the league office.
Conrad's honor is the first conference freshman team selection since the trio of Mackenzie Anthony, Gabby Mueller and Chloe Japic all were honored in 2020.
As a freshman, Conrad has played in all 18 matches so far this season, starting in five of them. In her 949 minutes of action, she has scored two goals with five assists. She netted her first career goal against Nebraska and her second against Cincinnati. She recorded an assist in her first-career game against Oregon when she got off a career high four shots.
🔺 Down To The Wire. One thing is for certain, the Baylor volleyball team can play with anyone.
The talent was on display as the Bears took fifth-ranked Texas to the very end of the wire, but ultimately fell in a five-set battle in Austin, 3-2, to the Longhorns.
Elise McGhee led the way yet again with 17 kills, while sophomore Averi Carlson dished our 43 assists and tallied 14 digs on the night.
The two teams will face off again tonight in Austin at 7 p.m.
🔺 Dance The Night Away. If there’s a most common response for “What makes BU so special?”, the answer would easily be “the people.”
Throughout the year, View From The Hill is providing in-depth looks into the behind-the-scenes folks that make Baylor Athletics so successful on so many levels.
This week, get to know Director of Resource Development, Donovan Burriss.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answer: Third.
Only Texas A&M and Nebraska have more Big 12 Tournament victories in their history.
In fact, BU is one of just five schools to hold a winning record in Big 12 Tournament history.
