Entering this week’s NCAA Regionals, there’s not many teams hotter than the Baylor softball squad, winners of 10 of their past 12 contests.

In the latest episode of Baylor+’s The Follow, go behind-the-scenes and get the real access as the Bears swept through the Cougars of Houston in their final home series of the year.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: JOHNNY KEEFER

On today’s episode, we’re sitting down with one of Baylor’s best golfers in program history, Johnny Keefer.

From the moment he got to Waco, the graduate senior quickly became a staple in Coach McGraw’s lineups, and has continued to climb the all-time program ranks in a number of categories. 

Now, in his 5th year, Johnny is leading a surging Bears team to postseason play.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 On The Prowl. All it takes is to be in the hunt.

That’s exactly where the Baylor men’s golf team finds itself entering the remainder of today’s final round at the NCAA Regionals in Chapel Hill.

With weather hammering the Southeast, play was halted early on Tuesday and will pick back up on Wednesday morning as the 13 teams look to conclude the final round.

With most of the teams only through the first few holes of the final round, the Bears find themselves locked in a tie for fourth place at 11-under, which puts them in the fifth and final NCAA Championship spot.

BU is tied with Georgia Tech, while Long Beach State (10-under) and Alabama (7-under) are lurking in contention as well.

🔺 Playoff Pair. Nothing like some playoff ball, right? Volleyball that is.

Baylor volleyball alumnae Shelly Fanning and Yossiana Pressley have helped lead the Atlanta Vibe into the inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation Championship, earning the No. 1 seed after finishing as regular-season champions.

The No. 1 Vibe (19-5) will face the No. 4 Grand Rapids Rise (12-12) on Wednesday in a 6 p.m. CT matchup on CBS Sports from CHI Health Center in Omaha, Neb., in the semifinals.
 
The PVF postseason sees four teams competing for a $1 million bonus and the title of the inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation Champions.

🔺 Class Acts. The Baylor men’s tennis program had plenty of success on the court this spring.

However, that success was not limited to just there. It carried over into the classroom as well.

This week, team captains Christopher Frantzen and Tadeas Paroulek, were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
 
Frantzen posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in his MBA program after a 3.85 undergraduate grade point average in finance and entrepreneurship. On the court, Frantzen closed his career with a 21-9 singles record in 2023-24.
 
Going 13-10 in singles and 13-12 in doubles his senior season for All-Big 12 second team in both, Paroulek tabbed a GPA of 3.95 in the MBA program after earning his economics and political science undergraduate degree with a 3.60.
