🐻 BEARS IN PARIS

When the 2024 Olympics began for women’s basketball,
12 countries were vying for a gold medal.

After Wednesday, only four remain and two of those squads
have former Baylor standouts on their rosters.

The day started with Kristy Wallace and her Australian squad
punching their ticket with a win over Serbia. A few hours later,
Britney Griner and Team USA took down an upstart Nigerian squad.
Griner finished with 11 points and three rebounds in the victory.

Now, the two former Bears will face off as Team USA
will take on Australia at 10:30 am on Friday.

🔼 Give Us Two, Please. Watch list season is in full effect for the Baylor football program.

Two more Bears were recognized on Wednesday as Wide Receivers Hal Presley and Ashtyn Hawkins were named to the Comeback Player of the Year Watch List and Biletnikoff Award Watch List, respectively.

🔼 Power Pair. Another quest for the NCAA Tournament is set to begin later this month for the Baylor volleyball program.

A pair of Bears who will look to lead the way were honored this week as seniors Lauren Briseño and Elise McGhee earned a Preseason All-Big 12 accolades.

Both natives of San Antonio, McGhee was named All-Big 12 First Team following the 2023 season while Briseño was named Second Team.

Baylor was voted to finish fifth in the Big 12 for the 2024 season, as voted on by the league's coaches.

🔼 New Digs. With their season just a week away, the Baylor futbol squad moved into their new digs this week as the Bears got their first look at their new locker room at Betty Lou Stadium.

Pretty sweet digs if we do say so ourself.

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.
