🔺 Game Week Is HERE! It’s been nine months since the Baylor soccer team has taken the pitch together and Thursday can’t come soon enough.

The Bears have put together two impressive preseason victories over Oklahoma (3-2) and Tarleton (4-0) with both the veteran and new talent shining bright.

🔺 Hoops and History. The BU men’s hoops squad is finishing up their trip in France, playing their second of two games, while also taking in plenty of history along the way.

🔺 Now That’s How You Finish Strong. Baylor’s women’s team wrapped up an unforgettable trip across Italy and Greece over the weekend with a final group dinner before heading back to Waco.

Hoops were played, sights were scene and memories were made.

🔺 Earned Not Given. As one of the more experienced presences in the wide receiver room, it would be easy for Ketron Jackson Jr. to have a certain level of expectations on his playing time or targets.

However, in a world full of transfer portals and new faces, Jackson’s mantra and mindset has been a refreshing one, let my play do the talking and let me earn my spot, not be given a spot.

In the latest edition of View From The Hill, we take a deep look into the Arkansas transfer and his adjustment to Waco.

🔺 It’s All Coming Together. This week, the Bears strapped on the pads and kicked up training camp another notch as the season is three weeks away.

One of the group that feels it the most when the pads come on is the offensive line, a unit that the Bears seeing continuing to come together with new faces becoming a cohesive unit.

A View From The Hill takes an in-depth look at a unit that could be a critical part of the team’s success this fall.

🔺 Once A Bear, Always A Bear. The term Baylor family is not thrown around lightly. Once you don these colors, you’re part of our family forever.

Just because our Bears may depart Waco, they are still shining examples of what being a part of our family is all about and a couple of BU alums are making their impact in the professional ranks.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 19 DAYS

Before he was a part of Baylor Athletics staff, Walter Abercrombie was a menace for opposing defenses to try and stop.

He carried the ball more than any other player in program history. His legacy on the gridiron is unmatched, graduating as the school’s leading rusher and went on to become the 12th overall pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His name is all over the Bears’ record book including still holding the record for most 100-plus yard rushing games with 19.

He rushed for nearly 4,000 yards during his time in Waco and went on to play seven professional seasons, six with the Steelers and one with the Philadelphia Eagles.

He returned to Waco in 2004 and now serves as the Executive Director of the “B” Foundation.
