📈 STOCK UP

🔺 The Big 2-1! One of the most successful college basketball programs in the country in recent history will be back on the court in just 21 days!

That’s right, the BU men’s hoops team is just three weeks away from the start of the 2023-24 season.

The Bears will start the year in a familiar spot as they were slotted at #20 in the preseason AP Top-25. It marks the fifth straight season that Baylor will start the season in a poll position.

Tomorrow, Coach Drew and some of the guys will hit the stage for Big 12 Media Day and we’ll have a full recap right here in Thursday’s Brew!

🔺 C-ya in Cincy! After regrouping during the bye week, Baylor’s football team is ready to take flight to the “birthplace of aviation.”

The Bears hit the road Saturday for a brunch time kickoff with Big 12 newcomer, Cincinnati, at Nippert Stadium.

Baylor will be looking for its second conference win when they battle the Bearcats on Saturday.

Later today, Coach Collen and some of the ladies will hit the stage for Big 12 Media Day and we’ll have a full recap right here in tomorrow’s Brew!

🔺 Girl On A Run. If it’s the last one, might as well make it count, right?

Fifth-year senior Isabella Harvison did just that, making a big time run to the ITA Texas Regionals Semifinals this past weekend.

Harvison had a strong weekend, posting a 3-1 ledger before falling to a top-75 player in the country in the semifinals.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Lee Tunnell.

The 1981 BU grad was drafted out of Waco in the second round of the 1981 draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went on to pitch in six MLB seasons with three different organizations including Pittsburgh, St. Louis and Minnesota.

In 1987, Tunnell was with the Cardinals when they dropped a tough seven game series to the Minnesota Twins in the World Series. Tunnell pitched in two of the seven games, allowing just one earned run in 4.1 innings of work.
