🔺 Powered By Posey. Tuesday night must be Posey Night, at least it was for the Baylor baseball squad.

Fifth-year senior infielder Cole Posey had a career night at the plate to lead BU to a 5-3 win over UT Arlington, going 4-for-4 and finishing a double shy of the cycle.

The Georgetown native singled in the first inning, homered in the third and tripled in the fifth, but was thrown out going for two in his final at-bat after singling and attempting to advance on a UTA error. After going 3-for-3 with a walk on Sunday at No. 21 West Virginia, Posey has now reached safely in each of his last eight plate appearances.

Redshirt freshman right-hander Tanner Duke picked up the first win of his career with 2.2 solid frames on the mound and redshirt junior righty Patrick Hail earned his first-career save after throwing a scoreless ninth inning.

🔺 Welcome To Bear Country. The future continues to get brighter and brighter for BU hoops.

On Tuesday, Coach Nicki Collen announced the addition of Pac-12 transfer Aaronette Vonleh to the Bears. She spent time at Arizona and Colorado during her first three collegiate seasons.

A 2024 All-Pac-12 selection, Vonleh assisted the Buffaloes to a Sweet 16 appearance after downing then-No. 15/16 Kansas State in Manhattan in the second round of the NCAA tournament with a nine-point, eight-rebound performance in a team-high 38 minutes on the court.

During her junior season in Boulder, Vonleh started in all 34 games, posting a team-leading seven steals versus K-State in March and five blocks against Northern Colorado in December. Colorado's leading scorer, Vonleh scored 476 points for the season and averaged 14.0 points per game behind a .549 field goal percentage.

Vonleh won the 2023 Co-Pac-12 Most Improved Player award and was an honorable mention pick on the All-Pac-12 team.

💃 LET’S DANCE

The calendar is turning to May tomorrow and that means one thing… It’s time to dance.

The Baylor men’s and women’s tennis earned spots in the NCAA Tournament for the 26th and 25th time, respectively.

The 35th-ranked women’s team is headed to the Stanford regional and will open with 31st-ranked LSU on Friday in California. A win would set the Bears up with a Saturday showdown with the winner of Stanford, the #3 ranked team in the country and UMass.

Baylor is 39-20 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and is making its 18th appearance under the direction of head coach Joey Scrivano. The Bears' selection is the fourth-straight for the program.

On the men’s side, the 40th-ranked Bears are headed to College Station to battle with San Diego in the first round. With a first-round win, the Bears face the winner of the hosting Texas A&M Aggies and Rice Owls in the second round.

The Bears' at-large bid is the 26th consecutive in program history.

Baylor holds a combined record of 42-5 in the first two rounds of the tournament and an overall mark of 67-24.

🎥 FACE-TO-FAITH

No better way to prepare for the upcoming NCAA Tournament than taking an in-depth look at one of BU’s tennis stars, Christopher Franzten from the perspective of a fellow student-athlete.

Baylor+’s Faith Lynch sat down with Franzten earlier this year to talk about his journey and this year’s squad.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

In Tuesday’s win, freshman RJ Ruais became the first Bear since 2019 to notch a strikeout on the mound and a hit at the plate.

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.

A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams.

On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
