🎥 BAYLOR+: THE BEST OF THE YEAR

It’s been quite an opening year for Baylor+.

As we wrap up the month of June, we’ll relive some of the greatest
moments and videos of the year with the Top-10 Baylor+ features of the year.

Re-live the dramatic season opening, come-from-behind win for
Baylor Men's Basketball against the Auburn Tigers in
Sioux Falls, South Dakota back in November.

Go behind-the-scenes with the program like never before, including access in the meetings and practices leading up to the game, and the game day locker room and huddles.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Living A Dream. There’s plenty of style and pizzaz shown off in the sport of equestrian.

But the level of style and pizzaz that Molly Roberts, a rising season on BU’s equestrian team, is experiencing is a whole other level.

Recently, Molly was one of 27 college students who got the chance to be a part of the U of NYFW program during New York Fashion Week in a partnership with CLC and IMG.

🔺 Head Of Her Class. On the field, she’s well established as one of the nation’s best.

Off the field, BU softball’s Shaylon Govan is also among the head of her class.

This week, she was named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) First Team Academic All-American.

Govan becomes the 13th  player in program history to receive CSC Academic All-America honors. She is one of 16 members on the first, second or third teams with a 3.75 or higher GPA.

The Katy, Texas, native, holds a 3.76 GPA in her Health, Kinesiology & Leisure Studies degree. She is the only Bear to receive both first team NFCA All-America and first team CSC Academic All-America honors in their career.

On the field, Govan led BU with a .444 batting average, 11 home runs and 35 RBIs on the season. This is her second-straight season to reach double-digit home runs, and she holds a .739 slugging percentage, which is good for 4th  all-time at Baylor.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 73 DAYS

Number of the Day: 73(2).

732 carries from 1978-81 for the man, the myth,
the legend, Walter Abercrombie.

Abercrombie still holds the program record for total carries
in a career, as well as 100+ yard games (19).

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

As we mentioned, Shaylon Govan became the 13th player in BU softball history to earn Academic All-American accolades.

Prior to Govan’s honor this spring, who was the last Bear to achieve a first-team distinction?

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: DAROLD WILLIAMSON

During a golden era that established Baylor as "Quartermiler U.,"
Darold Williamson was the anchor leg for 4x400 relay teams that won a combined seven Big 12 titles, 2 national indoor titles, and the
2004 NCAA Outdoor championship.

The summer after his junior season at Baylor, Williamson made the finals
of the 400 at the USA Olympic Trials, and went on to win a gold medal
as the anchor leg in the 4x400 in Athens.

Now, 20 years after his first place finish, Williamson reflects on
an incredible legacy, and gets us ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
