🔺 Ground Meat. Three different BU rushers and a dominant performance by the OLine helped the Bears pick up their first W of the season with a 30-7 home win over LIU at a rain-soaked McLane Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Dawson Pendergrass tallied the first 100-yard performance of the season for a Bear (21 carries, 111 yds) and sophomore standout Richard Reese had 82 yards and two TDs as Baylor pounded the ground for 270 yards on 48 carries in the victory.

Despite a weather delay that caused a two-hour long halftime, BU had a stellar second half, holding the Sharks scoreless after the break and limiting them to just 183 yards of total offense on the day.

🔺 Cracking the Buckeyes. In front of an energetic, boisterous crowd, the Baylor volleyball team delivered.

With over 2,000 of their closest friends and family clad in white, the Bears battled to a 3-2 win over #19 Ohio State at the Ferrell Center on Friday night.

Junior Elise McGhee led the way with a team-high 19 kills, while classmate Lauren Briseño had her second straight 18 dig performance to lead the defensive side of the net.

🔺 So Fresh, So Clean. Sunday at Betty Lou proved to be clean as a whistle for the Baylor futbol team.

The Bears used their fifth shutout of the season to propel them to a 1-0 home win over UTSA, moving to 5-3-1 heading into the full Big 12 slate.

Senior Ashley Merrill continued her hot streak with her team-leading seventh goal of the season.

BU wraps up their long home stand with games against BYU (Thursday) and Texas Tech (Sunday).

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Richard Reese.

We didn’t want to make your brain work too hard early on a Monday morning, so we tossed you a softball.

In Reese’s third career game last year, he dominated Texas State, rushing for 157 yards on just 18 carries just last fall. Oh yeah, he also ran for three TDs that day.
