Entering this week’s NCAA Regionals, there’s not many teams hotter than the Baylor softball squad, winners of 10 of their past 12 contests.

Norchad Omier

Get to know the newest addition to Baylor Men's Basketball,
Norchad Omier.

The first person from Nicaragua to receive a Division I
basketball scholarship, Omier played two seasons with Miami,
helping the Hurricanes to the first Final Four in program history
in 2023. In 2024, he averaged a career-best 17.0 points per game,
along with 10.0 rebounds, earning a spot on the All-ACC Second Team.

🔺 Bayou Bound. One thing is for sure, these Bears are battle tested. Now, it’s time for redemption.

The BU softball team is headed back to NCAA Regionals and will take on a familiar foe, facing off against Ole Miss in the opening round for the second straight year.

Both teams will travel to Lafayette, Louisiana with the 13th-seeded Cajuns as the host school.

Action on the Bayou kicks off on Friday night.

🔺 Sensational Six. The Bears weathered the storm. Literally.

In a weekend full of weather delays, the Baylor track and field squads battled their way to 6️⃣ individual titles at the 2024 Big 12 Conference Championships.

Highlighting the weekend were Nathaniel Ezekiel and Alexis Brown, who unleashed record-setting performances in route to gold medals in the 400-meter hurdles and long jump, respectively.

🔺 It’s Tee Time. No, we’re not heading across the pond.

For the Bears, the biggest tee times of the year are here as the BU men’s golf squad hits the links in the opening round of the Chapel Hill Regional this morning

When they step on the course at Finley Golf Club this morning, it will be the 25th postseason appearance in the last 26 seasons for the Bears.

At the conclusion of 54 holes, the top-5 teams in Chapel Hill will advance to the NCAA Championship at The Omni La Costa Champions Course in Carlsbad, Calif.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: JOHNNY KEEFER

On today’s episode, we’re sitting down with one of Baylor’s best golfers in program history, Johnny Keefer.

From the moment he got to Waco, the graduate senior quickly became a staple in Coach McGraw’s lineups, and has continued to climb the all-time program ranks in a number of categories. 

Now, in his 5th year, Johnny is leading a surging Bears team to postseason play.
