Happy Tuesday Bears. When you have the pedigree that BU hoops does, it’s pretty impressive to accomplish something that no other player has done.

Enter Jayden Nunn.

This week, the VCU transfer earned a distinction that no other Bear had achieved and tonight, he and his teammates will look to add to their 2024 resume with another road test.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 On The Road Again. The frequent flyers jumped a bit this week for the BU men’s hoops squad.

After picking up the weekend win in Morgantown, the Bears are at it yet again, this time with a westward challenging of battling Big 12 newcomer, BYU, who currently sits #25 in this week’s national polls.

Winners of five of their past six, the Green & Gold will look to continue their offensive prowess as the Bears have averaged 79.8 ppg in those five wins.

🔺 Home Sweet Home. After getting thing started against some of the best teams in the country this past weekend in Arlington, the BU baseball team returns to Waco to get things started at Baylor Ballpark.

Today, the Green & Gold host Lamar in the first home game of the 2024 season.

Over the past four seasons, BU has posted an 80-50 ledger at home.

🔺 Second To Nunn. If Jayden Nunn was playing in the old school NBA Jam game, he’d be labeled as “En Fuego.”

Nunn has been red hot for the 11th-ranked Bears, who have won five of their past six outings.

Last week, the VCU transfer averaged 23.5 points per game in victories over #25 Oklahoma and West Virginia to become the first player in program history to sweep the Big 12 Conference and Newcomer of the Week honors.
 
Nunn is BU's fourth weekly award winner this year, joining Ja'Kobe Walter, RayJ Dennis, and Yves Missi, who all earned Big 12 weekly honors this season.

🔺 Marriott Of Honor. Now that’s how you start a season!

Junior hurler Mason Marriott was outstanding in his season debut for the BU baseball team over the weekend, allowing just one run on one hit with two walks in 5.2 innings of work, while striking out a career-high 10 Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Marriott took a no-hitter into the sixth inning of the 0-0 game before exiting. He is the first Bear to strike out double-digit batters in an Opening Day start since 2010.

Waco is hosting the “Eclipse Over Texas: Live From Waco” experience on April 8, 2024.

Waco is one of the best places to view the 2024 eclipse with over four minutes of totality.

The event will have telescopes, educational activities, programs, food trucks, and so much family fun! You won’t want to miss this one!
