Weāll also talk offensive and defensive efficiency for Baylor menās hoops and look ahead to next month to highlight a few marquee matchups for you.
š STOCK UP
šŗ Spreadinā the Love. Last week, we celebrated being grateful and showing love to our friends and family.
Well, apparently, the BU menās team wasnāt done showing love.
Sophomore Langston Love led a bench barrage for the Green & Gold, scoring a game-high 23 points to help the Bears cruise to 7-0 with a 108-70 victory over visiting Nicholls State.
Love and his bench mates accounted for 62 points to once again show off the depth of this yearās squad.
šŗ Fantastic Four. Before the Bears jumped on the plane to Lexington for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, four student-athletes added a little something extra to their luggage.
Led by junior Elise McGhee, four members of the BU volleyball team were honored with spots on the All Big-12 Teams, released yesterday.
McGhee led the group with her selection to First Team, while Manuela Bibinbe, Lauren BriseƱo and Averi Carlson were each named Second Team. This is each student-athlete's first time earning their respective awards.
šŗ Class Act. For three straight seasons, Ava Colberg has been a stifling force on the backline for BU womenās soccer.
Colbergās dominance isnāt limited to the pitch as the Frisco native was recognized with Academic All-District accolades this week.
The junior is a business finance major with a 3.97 GPA. Sheās started every game for each of the past three seasons.
šŗ We See You, Rook. Thereās a reason that itās called a transition phase. Being a freshman in college isnāt easy.
For freshman Kendal Murphy of the BU volleyball team, the transition is hitting its stride as the younger posted her best performance in the regular season finale against then-#22 Houston.
Murphyās season-high 12 kills helped the Bears upset the Cougars and secured the Arizona native her first Big 12 Freshman of the Week accolade.
Baylor will face seventh-seeded James Madison on Thursday, Nov. 30, in Lexington, Ky., at Rupp Arena in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed on ESPN+.
