📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Faster than Fast. Quicker Than Quick. He is Lightning. Ok, maybe Nathaniel Ezekiel isn’t Lightning McQueen, but we’re guessing it might be a close race.

Ezekiel finished 11th overall in the 400m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest on Monday, as he currently sits ranked in the top-25 worldwide in the event.

He and teammate Imaobong Uko are in the midst of representing their home country of Nigeria, as well as Baylor, on the global stage.

Both Uko and Ezekiel have relays to compete in that begin on Friday and Saturday.

🔺 Big Ben Strikes. As NFL rosters are coming down to the wire, over 30 former Bears are battling for a final spot on 53-man rosters across the league.

Well, Big Ben (Sims) struck big over the weekend with this beautiful catch in the Vikings preseason contest against the Titans.

The undrafted free agent is turning heads in camp, which we’re sure doesn’t surprise Bears fans.

🔺 Reunited and It Feels So Good. As our Bears returned to campus and prepared for another great semester in Waco, our Student-Athlete Center for Excellence welcomed them back with open arms and a great night of fun, laughs, and competition, of course.

🔺 Can Sept. 2nd Be Here Already?!? Whoever said patience is a virtue didn’t have to wait around for football season to start, right?

With less than two weeks until kickoff of the 2023 season, the Bears are ratcheting up the preparation and the energy level is through the roof.

🐻 SATURDAY, SATURDAY, SATURDAY

Don’t forget Baylor fans, you don’t want to miss this year’s Meet the Bears event — this SATURDAY!

That’s right, meet some of your favorite Bears, get autographs, take pictures, play games, and much more!

Be there! We promise, you don’t want to miss it!

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 11 DAYS

This fall will mark the 10-year anniversary of the 2013 Baylor football squad that reached 11 wins for the first time in school history.

Prior to 2011, the Bears had posted double-digits wins in one season. Since then, Baylor has done it six times.

That 2013 squad was the first time Baylor brought home a Big 12 Championship, using an explosive offense that averaged over 53 points a game for the year, which included six games of 60+ points.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

Three’s Company. We are just 3️⃣ days away from the start of Baylor football in 2023 and guess what?

That’s the exact number of times that the Bears will be featured on national TV during the regular season!

One of those games will a home game with a visit from Big 12 newcomer, UCF, on Oct. 2nd being shown on ESPN2.

Today’s question, how many times has Baylor faced off against the Golden Knights prior to 2023?

Think you got it?

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 3️⃣.

We tried to drop some hints, but Baylor and UCF have met three previous times with the Bears coming out on top each time.

The first meeting came in 1993 with the last one in 2010. This will be just the second time the Golden Knights have traveled to Waco.

🐻 Have a great Tuesday, Baylor fam!
