📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Step Up Challenge. To be the best, you gotta beat the best.

This weekend, the Baylor volleyball squad has an opportunity to do just that with the Big 12/Big Ten Challenge headed to Waco.

Arriving in town for two tussles with the Bears are #6 Wisconsin and #18 Minnesota.

🔼 Comeback Kids. Winning on the road is never easy. Winning on the road in come-from-behind fashion is even more difficult.

But that’s exactly what the Baylor soccer team did on Thursday night with an absolute thriller, bringing home a 2-1 victory over SMU.

After being down 1-0 at the half, the Bears got second half goals from Hallie Augustyn (56th minute) and Tyler Isgrig (78th minute) to secure the win.

With a 5-1 record through the first six matches, Baylor is off to its best start since 2017 when they started 5-0-1.

🔼 Country Pride. There’s nothing quite like representing your country.

Former Baylor men’s tennis star Matias Soto will have that opportunity among the world’s best as he was selected as one of five players to represent his home nation of Chile in the upcoming Davis Cup, known globally as the World Cup of Tennis.

Soto will compete for Chile in the 112th edition of the prestigious event, including Alejandro Tabilo, Nicolas Jarry, Cristian Garin and Tomas Barrios. Team Chile will be playing on the Group Stage as one of 16 teams across the nation.

Soto is making his first appearance in the Davis Cup and will compete from September 10-15 at the Hengqin Tennis Center in Zhuhai, China, facing off against Teams USA, Germany and Slovakia. If Team Chile advances through the Group Stage, they will move on as one of four teams to the Knockout Stage and compete in November in Málaga, Spain.

The film tells the complete story of the 1974 Baylor Bears football team under legendary head coach Grant Teaff, who defied all odds to capture their first undisputed conference title in 50 years.

Predicted to finish last in the Southwest Conference, Baylor dropped its first two games of the 1974 season before the Bears won 8 of their next 9 – including the iconic comeback victory against Texas – en route to an appearance in the Cotton Bowl.
