Time to shock the softball world, again….

In a few hours, the BU softball squad hits the field in the Sunshine State looking to battle their first WCWS appearance since 2017
when they take on #4 Florida.

First pitch in Gainesville is set for 11 am CST on ESPNU.

On today’s show we preview a busy weekend ahead in Baylor Athletics.
Baylor Softball hits the road for Super Regionals in Gainesville,
Track and Field prepares for the West Prelims, and Men’s Golf
gets rolling at the NCAA Championship.

🔺 All Teed Up. While the softball girls hit the diamond in the Sunshine State, the BU men’s golf team will be teeing it up out west in the first round of the NCAA Championships, hosted by Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.

This year marks the sixth time in the past eight years that the Bears have reached the NCAA Championship round.

🔺 Can We Two More, Please? On Wednesday, the Bears punched their first ticket to NCAA Championships in Oregon.

Thursday, they added two more to those travel plans with Alexis Brown and Molly Haywood punching their tickets to Eugene.

It is the first trip to the NCAA Championships for both athletes with Brown reaching the finals in her senior season and Haywood earning the spot in just her first collegiate season.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: SYDNEY COLLAZOS

On today’s episode we get to know Baylor Softball’s Sydney Collazos,
a fifth senior from Georgetown, Texas. 

From the time she stepped on campus in 2021, Sydney has been an
important part of Coach Moore’s lineups, both on the diamond, and
in the dugout as an extrovert and a leader. 

Now, in her final year in the green and gold, Sydney has embraced
every moment with her team, and is looking forward to pursuing
a career in the medical field when her time at Baylor is done.
